The Miracle Meal: Our Prayer For This Broken World

by

Here at The Miracle Meal, our hearts are shattered by what is happening in the Ukraine right now. There is a lot of fear in the world. Just when things started to feel a little normal, the darkness started to attack again. Overnight war began to break out. There will be many questions floating around your head, we’re sure the recurring one has been “but why”.

We may never understand the reasons behind every scary thing that happens in our lives or in the world, but there is ONE that is steadfast through it all. When the war rages on, He has already declared victory. So we would like to take a moment to just pray for the situation in the Ukraine right now. We believe that God will do what only He can do.

“God we thank you for your faithfulness. We thank you for the times when we don’t see it, but you’re already at work. Thank you for the victory that you have already declared over this situation.

Our prayer is that you would bring peace and hope to the hopeless. To the ones who can’t see beyond this strife, God please show up in their lives. Our hearts go out to every person affected by this. We pray healing to this broken world, and healing to every broken heart. Do what only you can do. We need a miracle.

In Jesus’ name! Amen. “

Philippians 4:6-7

6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

If you are feeling anxious or scared, we invite you to turn to Christ. Whether it’s digging into the word, worshipping through it all, praying and taking part in communion. Turn to Him.

The Miracle Meal: Making Communion Accessible

by

We are focused on making communion accessible to everyone, with locations in South Africa, London, Canada and America. Not only that, but providing individual cups means that these can easily be handed out, gifted and shared. Here’s why communion is our greatest gift, as well as why our aim is to share it with the world.

COMMUNION

The bible teaches that communion is an act of remembrance for what Jesus sacrificed for us on the cross. During the last supper, Jesus broke bread with His disciples and offered them a sip of wine from a cup. He shared that the bread represented His body and that the wine represented His blood spilled for all of mankind.

Anyone who believes in Christ and His sacrifice is welcome to share in communion. Using this opportunity to celebrate the sacrifice that Jesus made for us.

Our pre-packaged communion cups includes a leavened wafer and grape juice, symbolising the body of Christ and the blood that He shed. Individual communion cups can easily be transported, shared and stored.

The Miracle Meal: Answering The What, Why, How And Who Of Communion

by

Have questions about communion and what it means to “break bread”? Curious to know if you can share communion at home, or if it’s just reserved for the inside of a church building? Want to know the why behind the act of communion? We answer your burning questions about breaking bread plus how we can partner with you.

WHAT IS COMMUNION?

The bible teaches that communion is an act of remembrance for what Jesus sacrificed for us on the cross. During the last supper, Christ broke bread with His disciples and offered them a sip of wine from a cup. He shared that the bread represented His body and that the wine represented His blood spilled for all of mankind.

WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF COMMUNION?

Communion reminds us of the sacrifice that Christ made for us. It declares the gospel and displays His love for the church and His people. We are privileged to give thanks for that sacrifice through the act of communion.

HOW FREQUENTLY SHOULD COMMUNION BE OBSERVED?

The bible does not have a commandment about how often we should share communion, however the first church in Acts 2 dedicated themselves to the breaking of bread. This seems to suggest that communion was a regular part of their gatherings. We don’t see this as a command, but an honour to keep communion as a consistent part of our lives. In our churches and in our homes.

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE IN COMMUNION?

Anyone who believes in the sacrifice of Christ and believes that He died for their sins can participate in communion. It does not save anyone or redeem them, only inviting Jesus into their life can do that. But, it does act as a reminder of the gospel and draw us back to the cross.

WHAT ARE THE ELEMENTS OF COMMUNION?

The bread or wafer in communion represents Christ’s body that was broken on the cross. The cup of wine or juice represents His blood that He so willingly spilled for the sins of humanity.

IS COMMUNION ONLY TO BE PRACTICED INSIDE A CHURCH SERVICE?

The bible talks about the church sharing communion together, but the local church looks different today than it did back then. Christ called us to be the church. This means that we can share communion anytime and anywhere. Whether it is at church, at home or in small ministry groups. We don’t need to wait for a Sunday service. We can remember him in our every day. Let us allow ourselves to remember Him always. We at The Miracle Meal want to invite you to partner with us as we bring communion to churches and to homes across the world. Contact us today to find out more about our different locations as well as the different packages available.
